In between seeing personal styling clients, styling events & photoshoots and writing fashion blogs Anika is a mum to a 5yr old Massey, 3yr old Radha & 12 week old Atticus. Life is busy to say the least, just the way Anika likes it.

I’ve personally enjoyed the services of Anika twice (lucky lady I am) when she has been working at Bayside Shopping Centre doing styling sessions. She found me my perfect jeans so I’m forever indebted to her! Anika has amazing style and can source anything you could possibly want, at any price point within minutes, she is that good!!! Anika has written 6 fab blog posts for Bayside covering AW essentials, a night out, homewares, cheap and chic pieces and a couple for the boys which you should check out. She offers personal styling sessions to help you find your style, find fab new season pieces for your style, introduces you to shops you may have overlooked in the past and most importantly makes you feel so comfortable whilst doing so. Before our first meeting, I have to admit I was quite nervous and a little intimidated at the thought of working with this incredibly stylish lady but her warmth and eagerness to help put me at ease immediately. We had a chat about life, likes, dislikes, budget, fave shops etc before we took off to look at a few pieces I had wanted to add to my wardrobe. It was such a fabulous experience and one I will definitely do again to update my ‘drobe over the coming months.

Cafe

My favourite cafe at the minute is The Brighton Schoolhouse. They make a mean breakfast, my go to is ‘erinsborough high quinoa breakfast’ topped off with one of their super smoothies. Did I mention they have an outdoor playground to keep the little monkeys entertained?!? It’s got everything covered.

We always meet friends at West Beach bathers Pavillion. Nothing like an afternoon wine overlooking the kite-surfers whilst the kids play in the sand with the toys provided by WBBP. Head there in winter and rug up with the blankets provided and if you’re lucky you’ll catch some love music too. Did I mention the hot chips with aioli???? Divine.

Pamper

If I get a spare hour to myself and I’m not shopping, you’ll find me here at Zen Element getting pummelled. I’m not interested in relaxation massage, give me strong hands & Chinese massage any day! I never realise how much I need a massage until these guys find every sore spot. Amazing!

Kids

Elwood foreshore is always beautiful and makes us feel like we’re on holidays in Melbourne. What kid doesn’t love the mini waves & sand, topped off with a BBQ and ice-cream. Just as much fun had here for mum & dad too.

Fashion

I love local boutique ‘Sycamore’ @ 119 Martin Street, Brighton. The labels are perfect for your smart casual wardrobe through to a special occasion and you’ll always find pieces with an edge. The winter boots are to die for and the fine gold jewellery is hard to bypass. My favourite brand is locally designed Elka Collective, the linen tee’s I bought a very long time ago are still going strong. You won’t be disappointed with a visit to Sycamore Boutique.
