Easter Feaster

Chocolate aside, I love Easter for the feast part of it. I am a bit of a food lover and adore nothing more than cooking up feasts for family and friends. I may not be the world’s greatest, nor even the best in my street(!!!) but there is nothing I enjoy more than putting together a spread for my faves. From hunting out fab seasonal produce to finding the perfect recipes and compiling a menu to spending the better part of my day in the kitchen cooking I love every part of it. My fave feasts would have to include seafood and wine. And that’s why Easter is so rad, I mean Good Friday, a day where I can literally eat seafood all day long!!! And Easter Sunday traditionally produces dual main dishes-one seafood and one meat. And then wines to accompany these! I’m not huge on food and wine pairing, because basically I just enjoy what I enjoy and maybe if I was more refined and posh I possibly would enjoy pairing but I have neither the knowledge nor the inclination so we just go with the flow. Generally speaking though, there will be bubbles and then a red of some variety depending on mood and temperature and occasion.

Anywho, onto the menu I have planned out for Easter Sunday…
