Why we loved Ballerina the Movie

On Sunday, the girls and I were lucky enough to attend a preview of Ballerina which is hitting cinemas this Thursday, the 12th January. We absolutely loved it!

Ballerina is the story of orphans Felicie and her best friend Victor who escape their orphanage in Brittany, France to seek out their dreams in Paris.

Felicie’s one dream in life, and her absolute passion, is dance whilst Victor dreams of being a great inventor. What happens on their journey to Paris and once there is equal parts heartwarming and inspirational with side orders of hilarity and reality.

I would venture to say Ballerina will appeal mostly to girls making it the perfect gals date for the hols, however if Alex had come along with us I don’t think he would have hated any minute of it as it has plenty of boy funnies in it as well. Ballerina is a movie without adult innuendo which is refreshing, and leaves you with a tear in your eye and warm fuzzy feelings inside. Ballerina was a truly lovely movie with lots of positive themes throughout it and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Ella’s review:

I liked Ballerina because Felicie tries to follow her dream and never gives up. I think that Nora was quite funny. I think that everyone should follow their dreams. In the end, Felicie did what she dreamed.
