The check blazer first piqued my interest when it appeared in Decjuba‘s social media as a sneak preview and since then it has snuck into many a shop. Albeit in differing checks and cuts but it’s there and I quite surprisingly have to say I’m loving the idea of it. I may even go so far as to call it the must buy piece of the season. Actually, I will go that far. #wowbigcall It’s my must buy piece for Summer and Autumn 2018. It is a big fave amongst the street style pack, appearing on all many a fash show attendee at the latest round of shows. Read on to see how the many ways they are wearing it and why you most definitely need one too… (also enter this!)
I have possibly, ok I have, made a Pinterest board devoted to the check blazer which you are more than welcome to check out here, but for now I bring forth to you FOUR amazing looks featuring this versatile little piece.
Which look is your fave? Mine? All of them! I would most definitely wear all of these different looks. Thus making the cost per wear even better! I hate buying pieces you can only wear one way. the more versatile the piece the more likely I am to buy it. A good blazer will see you through all four seasons so it is worth buying the best you can, although fit is just as important. If the $50 blazer fits you better than the $150, go for that. You will wear it more. I have rounded up several different options for you to choose from and whilst trying it on before purchasing is a must if you want the fitted look, I’m looking for something slightly oversized so I’ll just select a size up (which I often do when buying jackets anyways) and that way I can layer underneath once the cooler months hit as well as ensuring it won’t be too small across the back when it arrives with Postman Pat!
There are heaps more out there if these don’t suit (little punny there 😉 ) but these are all great ones to start with. I can’t decide which I love the most. Will need another coffee I think to help with the decision making! #anyexcuse Which one do you like best?
So I thought I would share before I sign off, what I’m listening to as I write this. My gf Kate who is one of my most stylish ladies and has her own biz, Good Day Rentals, which does alarmingly great vintage furniture hiring, event styling and property styling, has also put together this rad playlist on Spotify. So these fun tunes have been blasting all morning whilst the kids are playing nicely outside. WTF?! That never happens!!! I’ll have another post up later today also from Lana, our resident AFLW blogger, yay!
